2026 WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week



Week of Feb. 16 - 22
Offense

Breya Sawyer, Junior (Isla, Minn./Brainerd), Attack of Augsburg University
In her first game in an Augsburg uniform after transferring from College of Saint Benedict (Minn.), Sawyer scored five goals with an assist for a six-point day in Augsburg's 20-10 season-opening loss at Illinois Wesleyan University. She scored five goals on seven shots on-goal (.778), adding a draw control to her game total.

Defense
Annelise Rommeck, Sophomore (Okemos, Mich./Okemos), Goalie of UW-River Falls
Against nationally ranked University of Chicago (Ill.) on the road on Feb. 21, Rommeck made 13 saves along with four ground balls. She played a key role in the Falcons’ efficient transition game, as a team they successfully cleared 17-of-21 attempts.

Week of Feb. 9 - 15
Offense

Samantha Hayek, Senior, (Scandia, Minn./Forest Lake), Attack of UW-River Falls
Hayek led the Falcon offense during the 2026 opener against Sewanee (Tenn.), totaling five points with four goals and an assist. She scored in the third quarter to tie the game at 10-10, but the Falcons eventually fell 15-10. Hayek also tallied three groundballs and was 2-for-2 on free position shots.

Week of Feb. 2 - 8
Offense
Mai Nou Vang, Senior (Green Bay, Wis./Green Bay Preble), Midfielder of UW-Stout
Vang scored three goals and added three assists for six points in UW-Stout's season-opening game against Calvin College (Mich.) in Eau Claire on Feb. 7. She assisted on three straight goals all within a 1:40 span in the 3rd quarter. Later in the third, Vang scored three goals as the Blue Devils rallied to cut the deficit. She had seven shots, five on goal (SOG% .714) while adding five draw controls and two ground balls.
