UW-Stevens Point’s Dernbach Appointed To NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Committee

INDIANAPOLIS--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point head men's basketball coach Kent Dernbach has been appointed to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee.
 
Dernbach will be a part of the nine-member committee.  As part of the committee, Dernbach will help develop policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Championship.
 
Last season, Dernbach guided the Pointers back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018. Led by all-region selection Josiah Butler, his Pointers return all five starters, plus WIAC Co-Newcomer of the Year Max Raimer. The Pointers open the 2026-27 season at home on Nov. 11 against St. Olaf College (Minn.)
