UW-Oshkosh’s McGibboney and UW-Whitewater’s Reiser Tabbed WIAC Nominees For D3CA Women’s Sport Student-Athlete of the Year

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Reanna McGibboney and UW-Whitewater’s Abbie Reiser have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) nominees for the 2025-26 Division III Commissioner’s Association (D3CA) Women’s Sport Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
McGibboney, a native of Chester Springs, Pa. (Downingtown East), was a member of the gymnastics team. She majored in nursing and had a 3.71 grade point average. McGibboney is a three-time member of NCAA Division III Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators, receiving the distinction in 2024, 2025 and 2026. She landed on UW-Oshkosh’s Dean’s List four semesters and Honor Roll three semesters. McGibboney was nominated twice for the National Society of Leadership and Success.
 
McGibboney helped UW-Oshkosh win National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) championships in 2023, 2024 and 2026. She was tabbed the NCGA West Region Gymnast of the Year in 2026 after winning individual national titles in the vault and balance beam. McGibboney added NCGA All-America accolades in the vault (2023, 2024), uneven parallel bars (2025) and floor exercise (2023, 2024, 2026). She was a member of WIAC championship teams from 2023-26 and selected the WIAC Gymnast of the Year in 2026, after claiming the WIAC Newcomer of the Year honor in 2023. McGibboney won the WIAC individual title in the vault in 2026.
 
McGibboney has been a member of UW-Oshkosh Athletes in Action, Honors College and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She was a two-year team captain and volunteered for Salvation Army Food Pantry, Flu Vaccination Clinic, UW-Oshkosh Gymnastics Camps, Touch-A-Truck, Sunday School Teacher, and at a local elementary school.
 
Reiser, a native of Washington, Ill. (Washington Community), was a member of the golf team and sustained a 3.943 grade point average while majoring in marketing and public policy and administration. She received the 2025 WIAC Women’s Golf Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award.
 
Reiser is a four-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar and four-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She earned a spot on the 2026 NCAA Division III Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators. Reiser was on UW-Whitewater’s Dean’s List every semester, a UW-Whitewater’s Honors Program Member and received the Chancellor’s Scholarship. In 2026, Reiser was named a Chancellor Scholar Athlete. She was the recipient of the Lucy Baker Involvement Award in 2023 and 2024 - an award given to less than 1% of the student body. In 2024, Reiser added the Executive Board Member of the Year Award for the Whitewater Student Government.


Reiser helped UW-Whitewater win WIAC championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024 - advancing to the NCAA Division III championship each year. She was tabbed the WIAC Newcomer of the Year in 2022 and was a member of the conference’s All-Sportsmanship Team in 2024. Reiser finished in the top 30 individually at the WIAC championship all four years.
 
Reiser served as Director of Academic Affairs for the Whitewater Student Government, as well as Vice Chair of Educational Outreach for the Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee. In addition, she was a representative on the Non-Allocable Leadership Team. Reiser advanced to the finals of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Perfect Pitch competition in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, she was an account executive on the Protect Wisconsin Waterways Account in the AMA. Reiser was a member of Future Business Leaders of America and UW-Whitewater’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She has volunteered for food drives, tennis camps and junior golf programs.
 
UW-La Crosse’s Ava Schiltz (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake - lacrosse) and UW-River Falls’ Annika Gunderson (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake – indoor and outdoor track & field) were also nominated for the D3CA award.
