UW-La Crosse’s Davis and Wagner Secure USTFCCCA National Coaching Awards

--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Nickolas Davis and Katie Wagner have secured NCAA Division III women’s coaching awards for the 2026 outdoor season. Davis was tabbed the national coach of the year, while Davis was named the national assistant coach of the year.
 
Davis claimed the award for the second time in his career (2023). He led UW-La Crosse to the team title at the NCAA Division III Championship, where they tallied 53 points. The Eagles scored across nine events, which included national titles in the pole vault, 4×100-meter relay and 4×400-meter relay. Earlier in the season, UW-La Crosse earned the team title at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver’s), amassing 362 points.
 
Katie Wagner received the distinction for the fourth time in her career (2014, 2021, 2023). Her athletes played a pivotal role in helping UW-La Crosse win the national outdoor title, accounting for 30 of the Eagles’ 52 points with first-place finishes in both the 4×100- and 4×400-meter relays. Earlier in the season, UW-La Crosse athletes totaled 107 points in the sprints, hurdles and relays at the WIAC Championship.
