Men's Tennis 5/2/2026 11:02:33 PM The College of New Jersey Wins First Men’s Tennis Championship WHITEWATER, Wis.--The College of New Jersey won its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men’s Tennis Championship (presented by Culver’s) with a 4-2 triumph over UW-Whitewater at Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex on May 2. The College of New Jersey (15-5) claimed the conference’s automatic NCAA bid with the victory. It will be the first NCAA appearance for the Lions since 2019. UW-Whitewater picked up the doubles point after wins from Theo Billson & Carter Micheals, who posted a 6-2 victory over at No. 1, and Julius Jonsson & Charles Morgan had a 6-2 win at No. 3. Billson, made it 2-0 in favor of the hosts with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Alberto Thomas at No. 1, but the Lions roared back with Brett Schuster’s 6-2, 6-1 triumph at No. 6, and Harrison-Maitland-Carter collected a 6-1, 6-2 win over Charles Morgan at No. 2. Rookie Faris Shehata put the Lions on the cusp by downing Carter Michaels 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 before Nathan Chan clinched the championship point with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Andrew Dumbauld at No. 3. # # # # #
