ABCA and D3baseball.com Announce All-Region Teams

MADISON, Wis.--The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com have announced their NCAA Division III All-Region 9 Teams for the 2026 season.
 
University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Anthony Massa was tabbed the Region IX Position Player of the Year by the ABCA. He was joined on the first team by UW-Whitewater’s Gradin Taschner. Massa is the first player in program history to receive the position award from the ABCA. He led the WIAC with a .799 slugging percentage, 1.304 OPS, 71 hits, 58 RBI and 15 home runs, while ranking second with a .433 batting average, and third with 54 runs scored and a .505 on-base percentage. Massa had a 19-game hitting streak to start the season and produced a season-high four hits against Illinois College on March 20 and Edgewood University (Wis.) on May 4. He rewrote UW-Platteville's single-season record book, breaking records in hits, home runs, total bases, runs batted in, and slugging percentage.
 
Second team selections included:  UW-La Crosse’s Brady Burrill and Owen Deprez; UW-Stevens Point’s Kamden Oliver; and UW-Whitewater’s Jackson Spring.
 
Third team honorees consisted of: UW-La Crosse’s Austin Olla; UW-Platteville’s Brayden Knoll; UW-River Falls’ Andrew Athmann; and UW-Whitewater’s Ben Lee and Evan Olson.
 
Massa was selected the Region 9 Player of the Year by D3baseball.com. He is the second player in program history to claim the award, joining Jonathan Kelso (2021). Taschner and Olson were on the first team with Massa.
 
Second team choices were Spring, Knoll, Lee and UW-Whitewater’s Sam Steuber.
 
Third team selections included: Deprez and Oliver, along with UW-La Crosse’s AJ Curtis and UW-Whitewater’s Jackson Koenig and Andy Thies.
