UW-La Crosse’s Kehr Named Women’s Gymnastics Judy Kruckman Scholar Athlete

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Grace Kehr has been named the recipient of the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Gymnastics Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award.
 
A senior from Coon Rapids, Minn. (Coon Rapids), Kehr is majoring in exercise & sport science and sustains a 3.96 grade point average. She was named to the 2024-25 NCAA Division III Women’s At-Large Academic All-America® Second Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators. Kehr is a three-time Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-American and three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She has secured a spot on UW-La Crosse’s Dean’s List numerous semesters.
 
Kehr tied for second on the vault at this year’s WIAC championship. In 2025, she claimed the vault title at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship and added a runner-up finish on the floor exercise to help UW-La Crosse win the national championship. Her score of 9.850 in the vault ranks as the second best in program history, while her score of 9.875 in the floor exercise is the third best. A two-year team captain, Kehr was voted the Most Dedicated on her team in 2025. She has spent all four years on UW-La Crosse’s Leadership Team.
 
Kehr is a member of the National Honors Society of Leadership and Success, as well as Intervarsity.  She has worked as a caregiver for a quadriplegic and volunteered at a pair of health clinics, rotary lights, Steppin’ Out In Pink, Veterans Day Breakfast and Real Girls.
 
Also nominated for this year’s scholar-athlete award were: Hamline University’s Elizabeth Green (Sr., Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake North); UW-Eau Claire’s Meghan Dahlin (Sr., Holly, Mich./Holly); UW-Oshkosh’s Reanna McGibboney (Sr., Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East); UW-Whitewater’s Tegan Haberstock (Sr., Alberta, Canada/National Sport School); and Winona State University’s Jessica Miley (Sr., Olathe, Kan./Olathe South)
 
The WIAC Scholar-Athlete Award is named after Judy Kruckman who served as Assistant Commissioner for the WIAC from 1996-98. Prior to this appointment, she was Commissioner of the Wisconsin Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WWIAC) from October, 1984 - September, 1996. Kruckman was the women's athletics director at UW-Eau Claire from 1974-84, and one of the original representatives to the WWIAC when it formed in 1971. She was inducted into the WIAC Hall of Fame in 2012.

In order to be nominated for the scholar-athlete award, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.50 grade point average. In addition, she must be in her last year of competition, or on schedule to graduate this academic year, and have competed for a minimum of two years. The award is based on academic achievements, athletics accomplishments and involvement in other campus activities, organizations and community service projects.
