Brady Malkow, Junior (Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead), Pitcher of UW-Whitewater
Malkow started the Warhawks' season on the mound against No. 9-ranked Trinity University (Texas). He pitched 4.2 innings, only allowing two hits, while fanning seven batters. The Warhawks went on to a 6-2 victory in the opening game of the season.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
Joey Fuhremann, Senior (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee), Forward of UW-Platteville
Fuhremann averaged 25.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game to power the Pioneers to wins over UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout. He shot 76.2 percent (16-of-21) from the floor on the week and 82.6 percent (19-of-23) from the free throw line across the two victories. Fuhremann dropped a career-high 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting against the Blugolds before scoring another 23 points on 5-of-7 shooting with 13 made free throws against the Blue Devils. On the defensive end, Fuhremann added five steals on the week.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Sammi Beyer, Junior (Appleton, Wis./Appleton East), Guard of UW-Oshkosh
Beyer helped the Titans to a pair of wins over UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point during the week by averaging 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest with a steal per game. She shot 48.3 percent (14-of-29) from the field, 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from 3-point range and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the line. Beyer led all players with 16 points as the Titans secured the WIAC regular-season championship for the third consecutive season with a 61-35 win over UW-La Crosse at home on Feb. 18. She shot 6-of-14 from the field, made two 3s, and connected on both shots from the line, while pulling down six rebounds and dishing out five assists. As the Titans defeated UW-Stevens Point on the road in the regular-season finale on Feb. 21, Beyer tied her career high of 23 points, a game-high, on 8-of-15 from the field, 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe. She added seven rebounds and two assists in the contest.

Jakubiak posted a score of at least 9.800 points on the balance beam for the second consecutive week as she won the event with a career-high 9.875 during the Titans’ win at UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 19.

Rider secured a pair of first-place finishes in the Warhawks’ dual at UW-La Crosse on Feb. 20. She won the vault with a score of 9.725 and the floor exercise with a 9.825. Rider was also the top Warhawk on the balance beam with a 9.675 that tied for fourth on the apparatus.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY
Megan Goodreau, Senior (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial), Forward of UW-River Falls
Goodreau and the No. 1-ranked Falcons defeated No. 9-ranked UW-Eau Claire 6-3 on Feb. 21 in Eau Claire to clinch the WIAC regular-season title, the program's sixth in a row and 12th overall. During the win, Goodreau tallied three points with a goal and two assists, passing Callie Hoff to become the program’s all-time leading scorer with 198 career points. Hoff, the 2022 Laura Hurd National Player of the Year, totaled 197 points from 2017-22.

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Track
Dylan Doss, Junior (Sterling, Ill./Sterling), of UW-Oshkosh
After finishing the preliminary round of the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.74 seconds at the Division I University of Iowa Open on Feb. 20, Doss set his personal record in the event with a 6.65-second finish in the final round. His time won the event, ranks as the third-fastest individual time in Division III history and moved him into first on this season's Division III performance list.

A week after breaking it the first time, Fritsch reset his school record in the weight throw with a cast of 68-4 1/2 (20.84m) at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Feb. 21. His mark is the eighth furthest individual mark in Division III history and ranks first on the Division III qualifying list this season.

Scott won the 60-meter hurdles (8.86 seconds) at the UW-La Crosse Caged Eagle Invitational on Feb. 20. Her time of 8.70 seconds in the preliminaries ranks first on the WIAC Honor Roll and 10th in NCAA Division III.

In her first game in an Augsburg uniform after transferring from College of Saint Benedict (Minn.), Sawyer scored five goals with an assist for a six-point day in Augsburg's 20-10 season-opening loss at Illinois Wesleyan University. She scored five goals on seven shots on-goal (.778), adding a draw control to her game total.

Against nationally ranked University of Chicago (Ill.) on the road on Feb. 21, Rommeck made 13 saves along with four ground balls. She played a key role in the Falcons’ efficient transition game, as a team they successfully cleared 17-of-21 attempts.

Position
Melissa Dietz, Senior (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg), Thirdbase of UW-Platteville
Dietz finished a perfect 8-for-8 during the week between a pair of games against Westminster College (Mo.) and another against William Woods University (Mo.). She went 4-for-4 in the season-opening win against Westminster on Feb. 19, including a double and an RBI. In the loss to Williams Woods on Feb. 19, Dietz reached base four more times (2-for-2 with two walks), while adding another RBI. Dietz closed out the weekend by going 2-for-2 with a run scored and three intentional walks in another win over Westminster.
