2025 WIAC Women’s Volleyball Preview

MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its preview and predictions for the 2025 women’s volleyball season. The predictions were voted on by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.
 
UW-Oshkosh is projected to secure its third consecutive regular-season title. The Titans also advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III championship a year ago. UW-Oshkosh enters the 2025 campaign ranked No. 6 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)/TARAFLEX NCAA Division III Preseason Poll.
 
UW-Whitewater is pegged for second in the conference standings and is ranked No. 2 in the AVCA poll. The Warhawks finished as the national runner-up last season and won the WIAC Tournament crown for the third straight year.
 
UW-Platteville is ranked No. 13 in the AVCA poll and slotted for fifth in the conference race. The Pioneers made their first NCAA appearance since 2010 last year.
 
UW-Eau Claire is picked for third in the conference standings. The Blugolds are ranked No. 22 by the AVCA.
 
The remaining order in the conference predictions features: UW-Stevens Point (fourth); UW-Stout (sixth); UW-River Falls (seventh); and UW-La Crosse (eighth).
 
WIAC teams will begin their non-conference schedules on Aug. 29, while the conference slate will launch on Sept. 17. The top-six teams in the conference standings will qualify for the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s). The event will be held Nov. 11, 13 and 15, with all matches hosted by the higher-seeded team. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic NCAA bid.
