University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Fletcher Anderson received Kwik Trip Player of the Year honors, while UW-Superior’s Ikki Kogawa was tabbed the Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year and UW-Superior’s Rich McKenna received Kwik Trip Coach of the Year distinction. Anderson claimed the Player of the Year award for the third consecutive year to become the first player in WIAC history to accomplish the feat. He is a three-time first team selection and leads the conference with 36 points and 100 shots, while ranking second with 23 assists, and tying for seventh with 13 goals. Anderson tallied three power-play goals and three game-winning goals. He recorded at least one point in 20 of 25 games with a season-high four points at Northland College (Wis.) on Dec. 7, 2024. Anderson finished his career with 111 points, 47 goals and 64 assists. Repeat selections on the first team from a year ago include: UW-Stout’s Nicolas Pigeon and UW-Superior’s Jack Boschert. UW-Stevens Point’s Andrew Poulias received first team recognition in 2023. Kogawa is the third Yellowjacket to receive the award, joining Dylan Johnson (2020) and Colton Friesen (2023). He is tied for fourth in the WIAC with 16 assists and tied for eighth with 23 points. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used his first season of participation in men’s ice hockey this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in men’s ice hockey at their previous institution. McKenna collected the coaching honor for the second time in his career (2023) after leading the Yellowjackets to a 19-5-3 overall record and the ninth WIAC regular-season title in program history. He secured his 100th career coaching victory in a 2-0 win at Fitchburg State University (Mass.) on Jan. 3. An All-Sportsmanship Team was announced for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each team as selected by that team. 2025 All-WIAC Men’s Ice Hockey Team Name, School, Year, Position, Hometown (Last Team) Fletcher Anderson, Stevens Point, Senior, Forward, Thunder Bay, Ontario (Odessa-NAHL) Jack Boschert, Superior, Sophomore, Goalie, Florissant, Mo.
