UW-River Falls Sweeps D3football.com All-Region 6 Awards; 28 Claim All-Region Status

--University of Wisconsin-River Falls won all three major awards given by D3football.com in conjunction with their All-Region 6 Team. Kaleb Blaha was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Year, while Gage Timm collected Defensive Player of the Year honors and Matt Walker received Coach of the Year distinction. In addition, 28 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals secured All-Region status.
 
Blaha has completed 69.1 percent of his passes, going 326-for-472 passing with 31 touchdowns and nine interceptions. In addition, he leads the Falcons in rushing, with 1,053 yards and 15 touchdowns on 198 carries.
 
Timm leads the Falcons with 90 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss. He has two forced fumbles, five sacks, three pass breakups and three quarterback hurries on the season.
 
Walker has led UW-River Falls to its first WIAC outright championship since 1985. The Falcons own an 11-1 record and have advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III championship for the second time in program history.
 
Joining Blaha and Timm on the All-Region first team were: UW-La Crosse’s Michael Stack, Trent Mullen and Dain Walter; UW-Platteville’s Zackary Bothun; UW-River Falls’ DJ Fox and Andre Hall; UW-Stout’s TJ Scott; and UW-Whitewater’s Ethan Gallagher, Noah Moris, Alex Pethan and Tyler Vasey. Mullen and Vasey were first team choices a year ago, while Timm claimed third team honors. Stack and Pethan secured first team status in 2023 and Blaha was a second team pick.
 
Second team honorees included: UW-La Crosse’s Jack Janke, Gabe Lynch and Christian Powell; UW-Oshkosh’s Kyle Dietzen, Curtis Jaskulke and Clayton Schwalbe; UW-Platteville’s Harrison Meyer, Benjamin Younker and Joshua Zizter; UW-River Falls’ Hunter McKinney; and UW-Stout’s Jojo James. Younker was a first team honoree in 2024, while Dietzen claimed third team status. Schwalbe secured third team accolades in 2023.
 
Third team choices consisted of: UW-Platteville’s Beau Kopp; UW-River Falls’ Kody Curtis; and UW-Stout’s Brooks Brewer and Blaine Seidl. Brewer was a second team honoree a year ago.
