Terri Cole, UW-Oshkosh Sports Information Women's Volleyball 11/7/2025 10:40:35 PM UW-Oshkosh Secures Women’s Volleyball Championship OSHKOSH, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s volleyball regular-season championship with a 25-12, 25-18, 18-25, 25-15 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 7. It is the third consecutive title for the Titans and 16th in program history. UW-Oshkosh also secured the No. 1 seed for the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s), while UW-Eau Claire is the No. 2 seed. The six-team event begins with first round games on Nov. 11 – No. 3 seed UW-Platteville hosts No. 6 seed UW-La Crosse, while No. 4 seed UW-Whitewater hosts No. 5 seed UW-Stevens Point. The semifinals will be held Nov. 13, and the championship contest will be conducted Nov. 15, with the winner receiving an automatic NCAA bid. All matches will be hosted by the higher seed. Against UW-Eau Claire (26-3 overall, 6-1 WIAC), Titans head coach Jon Ellman earned his 200th career victory. He owns a 200-69 record in eight seasons leading UW-Oshkosh (26-3, 7-0). Samantha Perlberg had a match-high 18 kills for the Titans, while Lauren Grier contributed 10 kills and Grace Juergens nine. Perlberg added 19 digs. UW-Oshkosh jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the first set and UW-Eau Claire got within 17-11 before the Titans scored eight of the last nine points for a 25-12 win. Both teams traded points early in the second set and were tied 13-13 when the Titans scored five straight points for a lead they wouldn’t give up in a 25-18 victory. The third set was tied 14-14 when UW-Eau Claire tallied five consecutive points and held on for a 25-18 set win. In the fourth set, neither team scored more than three consecutive points and Juergens had five kills, while Perlberg contributed four in the 25-15 triumph. Abby Stanwood led UW-Eau Claire with 16 kills, while Kaitlyn Erickson had 25 digs and Alex Kiebel dished out 43 assists. # # # # #
