MADISON, Wis.
--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its 2025 All-WIAC Women’s Soccer Team that was selected by the conference coaches.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Aubree Caya was selected the Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Summer Nicolai received Goalkeeper of the Year honors. UW-Platteville’s Lexi Ward collected Defensive Player of the Year accolades, and UW-La Crosse’s Monica Wawrzyn claimed Newcomer of the Year distinction. UW-River Falls was tabbed the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Caya leads the WIAC with 21 goals and 48 points, while tying for eighth with six assists. Her 21 goals are a program single-season record. She also is tied for the conference lead with four game-winning goals and recorded a hat-trick against Concordia University (Wis.) on Sept. 27. Caya has recorded at least one point in 15 of 18 contests, including 14 multi-point performances.

Nicolai tops the conference with a .843 save percentage and .639 goals-against-average, allowing just eight goals in 1126:10 minutes of action. She also has three solo shutouts.

Ward leads a Pioneers defense that has recorded seven shutouts on the season. She scored a goal against Augustana University (Ill.) on Sept. 6.

Wawrzyn is tied for third in the WIAC with nine assists. She scored the game-winning goal against Concordia College-Moorhead (Minn.) on Sept. 21, when she had a season-high three points. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used her first season of participation in women's soccer this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in women’s soccer at their previous institution.

Repeat selections on the first team from a season ago include: UW-La Crosse’s Jillian Sawadski; UW-Platteville’s Jess Morawski; UW-River Falls’ Ellie Ketcher; and UW-Stout’s Kayla White.

Coaching Staff of the Year honors were presented to UW-River Falls after the Falcons tied for second in the conference standings and have compiled 13 victories – the most for the program since the 2003 campaign. The staff includes head coach Sean McKuras, associate head coach Steve Peterson, and assistant coaches Megan Hensel and Megan Rasmussen.

An All-Sportsmanship Team was announced for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each team as selected by that team.
