Name: Noah Nusbaum Institution: UW-River Falls Hometown and High School: Roberts, Wis. (St. Croix Central High School) Year in school: Sophomore Sport: Football Major: Elementary Education Minor: Adaptive Physical Education Why did you choose UW-River Falls? There are so many reasons why UW-River Falls was the best option. If it’s in the weightroom, on the field, locker room, or on campus there is a culture here like no other, and its exactly what Coach Walker preaches. I also loved the way Coach Wissing, as well as Coach Wood ran the defense, and I would be willing to run through a wall for them. I couldn’t have seen myself going anywhere else. What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete? No matter who you are playing, it’s going to be a grind and a hard-fought battle. What is your favorite… Menu item from Culver’s? 2 for 8 (Double Deluxe Butterburger) Flavor of the Day from Culver’s? But if I had to be more specific, it would be my first collegiate game ever this season against Alma College. What is your favorite thing to do off the court/field with your teammates? Watch sports and spend time in the weight room. Who is someone that you look up to? Someone that I look up to for sure is my dad. Everything I do today and the way I am is because of how I was raised. There is no harder worker and more genuine person in this world than my dad, and it’s exactly who I strive to be. Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes? Do the work in the dark and keep striving to reach beyond your goals.
