WIAC Announces Partnership With Officially Human

MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and Officially Human have announced a partnership for the 2024-25 season. Officially Human’s mission is to “restore respect to game officials and recognize them as authorities on the fields and courts”.

“The WIAC is excited to announce a partnership with Officially Human,” said WIAC Commissioner Danielle Harris. “Officially Human’s mission closely aligns with the conference’s purpose to maintain fair play and sportsmanlike behavior within competitive events. Through its educational materials, this partnership strives to help curtail the loss of officials, as well as aid in generating enthusiasm for the profession.”
 
Brenda Hilton, the visionary behind Officially Human, brings over two decades of experience in college athletics. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with sports officials across a broad spectrum, from mid-major conferences to high-level Division I programs, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of officials at every level. 
 
“Officially Human is excited to add the WIAC as a partner. In speaking with Commissioner Harris, it was clear, she is committed to raising the bar on sportsmanship,” stated Hilton. “I look forward to working with the membership this year.”

The WIAC will be the first NCAA Division III conference to partner with Officially Human. The conference will provide all member institutions with resources created by Officially Human throughout the partnership. Videos and other informational items designed to help better educate and inform student-athletes, coaches and fans will be highlighted throughout the membership.
