Men's Soccer 12/19/2024 3:50:38 PM UW-Eau Claire’s Donovan Named United Soccer Coaches National Scholar of the Year KANSAS CITY, Mo.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Nathan Donovan has been named the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Scholar Athlete of the Year. Donovan is majoring in biology and sustains a 3.88 grade point average. He was named the 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year as selected by College Sports Communicators. Donovan is a two-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and been recognized on UW-Eau Claire’s Dean’s List numerous semesters. He was named to the 2024 United Socer Coaches All-North/Central Region Scholar First Team. He is a pre-med representative in UW-Eau Claire’s Pre-Professional Health Club. Donovan has volunteered at Mayo Clinic Health System and qualified for its MedEx program. He has worked as a certified nurse assistant, licensed soccer referee and soccer coach. Donovan is the Blugolds' first two-time All-American in men's soccer after he earned first team All-American accolades as a sophomore in 2022 and repeating this year. He leads all of NCAA men's college soccer - regardless of Division - in scoring with 26 goals this fall. He also had a team-high 15 assists for a total of 67 points. His goal and points totals both set UW-Eau Claire single-season records. Donovan was the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the Max Sparger Scholar Athlete this season. He earned all-region honors all four years of his career. Donovan finished his career as UW-Eau Claire's all-time leader in nearly every statistical category. He ranks third in the history of NCAA Division III with 229 career points and fourth with 94 goals. # # # # #
