UW-Eau Claire's Martin Named WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Stephanie Martin has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 13 - 19.

Martin (Sr., G, Yorktown, Va./Tabb) made 56 saves across two games as the Blugolds beat and tied No. 1-ranked UW-River Falls on Feb. 17 and 18. She stopped 28 shots in a 7-4 victory on Feb. 17, and helped shut down one power play opportunity for the Falcons. Martin added 28 saves on Feb. 18, limiting the nation’s top-ranked team to one goal across three periods and an overtime. She also thwarted two Falcon attempts in the ensuing shootout.
