Baseball 6/7/2021 7:23:56 AM Five Earn ABCA All-America Accolades Official ABCA Release MADISON, Wis.--Five Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals have earned a spot on the 2021 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-America Team. University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Matt O’Sullivan claimed first team recognition, while UW-Oshkosh’s Hunter Staniske, UW-Platteville’s Jonathan Kelso, UW-Stevens Point’s Aaron Simmons and UW-Whitewater’s Westin Muir were second team selections. O’Sullivan, the 2021 WIAC Pitcher of the Year, ranked first in the conference with 125 strikeouts, 87.1 innings pitched and 10 victories, while placing third with a 1.96 earned run average, and fourth with a .186 opponent batting average. O’Sullivan reached double-digits in strikeouts in six contests, including a career-high 17 against Finlandia University (Mich.) on March 26. The mark matched the second-highest single-game total in program history. Staniske is the program’s second ABCA All-America selection in the last three seasons, while Kelso is the first Pioneer to receive All-America accolades from the ABCA. Simmons is UW-Stevens Point’s first ABCA All-America pick since the 2015 campaign, while the selection of Muir marks the second time in the last three seasons that UW-Whitewater has landed multiple players on the squad. # # # # #
