Six Secure AHCA Men’s All-America Honors

--Six Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals have been chosen to the 2020 CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) NCAA Division II-III Men’s All-America Team.
 
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Jake Bresser and Zach Dyment, along with UW-River Falls’ Christian Hausinger were first team selections. UW-Eau Claire’s Adam Parsells and UW-Stevens Point’s Luke McElhenie and Zach Zech received second team distinction.
 
The selection of Bresser and Dyment marks the first time since 2013 that UW-Eau Claire has placed multiple players on the first team. Bresser led the WIAC with six game-winning goals and a plus/minus of +32, while finishing second with 16 goals, fourth with 32 points. He also recorded a hat trick against UW-Stout on Jan. 31.
 
Dyment topped the conference with a 1.53 goals-against-average, .935 save percentage, 19 victories and six shutouts, while ranking third with 529 saves.
 
Hausinger is the program’s first All-America first team honoree since the 2007-08 campaign. The WIAC Player of the Year, he led the league with 36 points and 26 assists. Hausinger’s six power-play goals placed him third in league. He recorded a pair of hat tricks, including the season-opener against Finlandia University (Mich.) on Nov. 1, 2019 and UW-Stout on Jan. 14, 2020. Hausinger had at least one point in 19 games, including 11 multi-point performances.
 
Parcells finished the season with eight points and 16 assists for 24 points. He also scored two power-play goals.
 
McElhenie led the WIAC with 17 goals, while ranking second with 35 points and third with 18 assists and a plus/minus of +27. He had three game-winning goals and produced 13 multi-point contests.
 
Zech was second in the conference with 16 goals, fourth with five power-play goals and fifth with 30 points. He had seven multi-point performances.
