Men's Ice Hockey 1/21/2020 8:32:15 AM UW-River Falls’ Freeman Collects 400th Career Win WINONA, Minn.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls men’s ice hockey head coach Steve Freeman collected his 400th career win in the Falcons’ 4-0 victory over Saint Mary’s University (Minn.) at Saint Mary’s Ice Arena on Jan. 18. Freeman is in his 24th season in charge of the Falcons and owns a 400-224-59 record (.629 winning percentage). The 400 wins lead the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) all-time list. Freeman is the 14th coach in NCAA Division III archives to reach the mark. UW-River Falls has captured 11 WIAC titles under his direction and made five NCAA Division III championship appearances, including a fourth-place finish in 2001. # # # # #
