Women’s Volleyball Teams “Playing For A Cause”

MADISON, Wis.--For the 12th straight year, the eight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s volleyball teams will participate in promotions to support a “cause”.
 
Each team will be involved in one promotional event throughout the season. Various activities will take place at each match to raise awareness for the “cause” being supported. Following are the eight matches that will have the “Playing For A Cause” theme: UW-Oshkosh at UW-Platteville (Sept. 25) (Childhood Cancer); UW-La Crosse vs. Viterbo (Oct. 1) (Childhood Cancer); UW-River Falls at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 5) (Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis); UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 9) (Attacking Alzheimer’s); UW-Stout at UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 9) (Breast Cancer Awareness); Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 11) (Dig Panici); UW-Whitewater at UW-River Falls (Oct. 18) (Alzheimer’s); and UW-River Falls at UW-Stout (Oct. 23) (Dig Pink).
 
Over the past 11 years, the women’s volleyball teams in the WIAC have contributed $181,708 towards worthwhile “causes”.
