Women’s Soccer Teams “Playing For A Cause”

MADISON, Wis.--Each of the eight women’s soccer teams in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) will participate in a “Playing For A Cause” campaign at one home match during the 2017 season. This marks the sixth time in the last seven years that the WIAC has conducted the event.
 
Each program has selected a “cause” they will support and bring awareness to during a selected home match. Following are the eight matches that will have the “Playing For A Cause” theme:  UW-Platteville at UW-Eau Claire (Sept. 30) (PRIDE Program); UW-Oshkosh at UW-River Falls (Sept. 30) (Play For A Cure); UW-Platteville at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 7) (Breast Cancer Awareness); UW-Stevens Point at UW-Stout (Oct. 7) (Multiple Sclerosis); UW-Eau Claire at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 7) (Multiple Sclerosis); Concordia University (Wis.) at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 8) (Children’s Miracle Network); UW-Stout at UW-Platteville (Oct. 21) (Suicide Awareness); and Edgewood College (Wis.) at UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 22) (Mia Hamm Foundation).
