UW-Oshkosh Secures Share of Football Title; Earns NCAA Automatic Bid

OSHKOSH, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh secured at least a share of the 2017 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football title with a 42-7 victory over UW-Eau Claire at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Nov. 4.
The Titans (6-0 in the WIAC) also claimed the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship by virtue of their 37-20 victory over UW-Whitewater (5-1) on Sept. 30. The league championship for UW-Oshkosh is the 10th in program history and sixth in the last 10 seasons.
UW-Whitewater can earn a share of the title with a win in its final game against UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 11, combined with a UW-Oshkosh loss at UW-Stout.
