UW-Oshkosh Falls Short In Stagg Bowl

SALEM, Va.--University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh dropped a 10-7 decision to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) in the NCAA Division III Football Championship (Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl) at Salem Football Stadium on Dec. 16.
The appearance by the Titans in the title contest marked the 10th time in the last 12 years that the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) was represented in the championship game. WIAC teams now have an all-time record of 8-4 in NCAA Division III title games.
UW-Oshkosh completed the 2016 campaign with a 13-2 record and reached the championship contest for the first time in program history. The Titans appeared in NCAA postseason play for the third time in the last five seasons.
