UW-Stevens Point’s Semling Gathers NABC Coach of the Year Honors

MADISON, Wis.
--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Bob Semling has been selected the 2015 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) UPS NCAA Division III Coach of the Year.

Semling collected the honor for the second time in his career (2010) after directing the Pointers to the fourth NCAA Division III championship in program history.  UW-Stevens Point compiled a 27-5 record and earned a share of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular-season title for the 29th time in program archives.

The WIAC has had four head coaches combine to win the NABC honor nine times.  Previous winners include UW-Platteville’s Bo Ryan (1991, 1995, 1998, 1999), along with UW-Whitewater’s Pat Miller (2912, 2014) and Dave Vander Meulen (1984, 1989).
