WIAC Women’s Soccer Teams “Playing For A Cause”

MADISON, Wis.--For the third consecutive year, the nine women’s soccer teams from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will each participate in a “Playing For A Cause” campaign at one home match during the 2013 season.

Each team has selected a cause they will support and bring awareness to during a particular home match.

Following are the matches during the 2013 season that will have the “Playing For A Cause” theme:    Bethel University (Minn.) at UW-Eau Claire (Sept. 25) (Childhood Cancer); Northland College at UW-Superior (Oct. 1) (Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness);  UW-Eau Claire at UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 5) (America’s VetDogs); UW-La Crosse at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 5) (Breast Cancer); UW-Eau Claire at UW-Stout (Oct. 9) (Childhood Leukemia); UW-River Falls at UW-Platteville (Oct. 12) (Suicide Awareness); UW-Oshkosh at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 19) (Cerebral Palsy); UW-Stevens Point at UW-River Falls (Oct. 19) (Endometrial Cancer); and UW-Platteville at UW-Oshkosh (Childhood Cancer) (Oct. 26).
