UW-Whitewater Wins Fifth Straight WIAC Women’s Tennis Team Tournament Crown

ELKHORN, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater secured its fifth straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Tennis Team Tournament title with a 6-0 victory over UW-Eau Claire at Four Lakes Athletic Club on April 28.
With the victory, the Warhawks earned the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship. This will mark the fifth straight NCAA appearance for UW-Whitewater.
The Warhawks advanced to the championship match with a 5-1 victory over UW-La Crosse, while UW-Eau Claire recorded a 5-0 triumph over UW-Oshkosh in its semifinal contest. UW-La Crosse won the third-place match over UW-Oshkosh by a score of 5-0.
UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater earned spots into the four-team tournament by placing in the top four in the WIAC standings following the completion of the WIAC championship in the fall.
