Sports32 To Air WIAC Football Matchup Between UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater
MILWAUKEE, Wis.--Time Warner Cable (TWC) Sports32 announced today that it will air the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football showdown between UW-Whitewater and UW-Oshkosh live this Saturday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. The matchup is at UW-Whitewater’s Perkins Stadium.
The game will be available to a statewide audience on Time Warner Cable Sports32 / 1332HD and Charter Extra Ch. 87. Both teams are unbeaten in conference play and nationally ranked, with three-time defending NCAA Division III champion UW-Whitewater No. 5 and UW-Oshkosh No. 10.
UW-Whitewater (5-1, 3-0 WIAC) has appeared in the last seven Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowls and won four of the last five national titles. Coached by Lance Leipold, the Warhawks are led by senior running back Desmin Ward. UW-Oshkosh (6-0, 3-0 WIAC) is coached by Pat Cerroni and paced offensively by senior quarterback Nate Wara. The Titans have won their last eight games.
