WIAC Volleyball Breast Cancer Awareness Promotion Establishes Record

MADISON, Wis.--In the fourth year conducting the event, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s volleyball teams set a new high and raised $27,494 for Breast Cancer Awareness. This season’s total brought the conference’s four-year sum to $88,142.
The nine conference teams raised money using various promotional activities to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Spectators at the designated matches were encouraged to wear pink in support of all those affected by breast cancer.
The following WIAC matches during the 2011 season featured the promotion to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness: UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stevens Point (Sept. 28); UW-La Crosse at UW-Platteville (Oct. 5); UW-Platteville at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 11); UW-Stout at UW-River Falls (Oct. 12); UW-River Falls at UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 19); UW-Oshkosh at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 19); UW-Whitewater at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 26); UW-Platteville at UW-Superior (Oct. 28); UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stout (Oct. 28).
