MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater claimed at least a share of its seventh straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football championship on Oct. 29.

The Warhawks upended UW-Stevens Point 31-16 at Perkins Stadium to improve their WIAC record to 5-0. UW-Oshkosh trailed the Warhawks by a game in league standings entering play on Oct. 29, but dropped a 30-24 overtime decision to UW-La Crosse at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The seven consecutive conference titles for UW-Whitewater is the longest string in WIAC history.

UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville and UW-Stout all own 3-2 conference marks and can earn a piece of the league crown with wins in their remaining two games, coupled with a pair of losses by the Warhawks.
