Jim Jianette was a member of UW-Platteville’s men’s soccer team from 1982-84, securing NAIA All-America accolades in 1982 and 1983. He owns the NCAA Division III single-season record with 96 points, 5.33 points per game and 2.28 goals per game – established in 1983. His career average of 4.49 points per game tops the NCAA Division III all-time list, while his career marks of 247 points and 105 goals rank second. Jianette added 37 career assists and tallied eight goals against Knox College (Ill.) on Sept. 24, 1983 – the third-highest total in NCAA Division III history.

Jianette was inducted into the UW-Platteville Hall of Fame in 2002. In 2012, he was selected to the WIAC Men’s Soccer All-Time Team in conjunction with the conference’s Centennial Celebration.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from UW-Platteville, master’s degree in development economics and international development from the University of Manchester (England) and masters of business administration in finance from Fordham University (N.Y.). Jianette resides in Northville, Mich.
