Stephanie (Sullivan) Gilmore was a member of UW-Platteville’s women’s basketball team from 1989-92, securing Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America First Team honors in 1992 – the only individual in program history to receive All-America recognition. She played in a program-record 108 games and holds the top spot on the all-time scoring list with 1,805 points, while ranking third with 123 career blocked shots. Her point total is second on the conference’s all-time list, along with her 741 career field goals made, while placing fourth with 1,035 career rebounds.
Gilmore was an all-conference first team selection in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and all-defensive team pick in 1989 and 1992. The Pioneers accumulated a program-record 22 victories during the 1988-89 season. She poured in 42 points against UW-Oshkosh on Feb. 19, 1992 – a total that matches the conference’s single-game record and is the highest in school history. In 2007, Gilmore was inducted into UW-Platteville’s Hall of Fame.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and resides in Hartland, Wis.
