Kari Zdroik was a member of UW-Stevens Point’s women’s basketball team from 1998-2002 and was part of the 2002 NCAA Division III championship team.  In 2002, she claimed D3hoops.com All-America first team recognition, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association honorable mention accolades and WIAC Player of the Year honors.  Zdroik also received the NCAA Top VIII Award – the most prestigious student-athlete honor bestowed annually by the NCAA, as well as Academic All-America second team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America – the first individual in program history to accomplish the feat.

Zdroik was an All-WIAC first team and All-Defensive selection in 2001, and at the time of graduation, was third on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,414 points and 810 rebounds.  She holds the school single-game scoring record of 38 points against UW-Whitewater on January 23, 2002.

In 2008, Zdroik was inducted into the UW-Stevens Point Hall of Fame.  In 2012, she was named to the WIAC Women’s Basketball All-Time Team in conjunction with the conference’s Centennial Celebration.

Zdroik earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry.  She resides in Stevens Point, Wis.
