Mel Mueller earned 11 All-America awards and three national titles to help the UW-Oshkosh women’s track & field team to two NCAA Division III championships and five conference crowns from 1991-94, before excelling as a pole vaulter at the international level.

Mueller helped the Titans to the outdoor national championship in 1991 and the indoor title in 1994.  The nine-time conference event winner was a member of conference indoor championship teams from 1991-93 and conference outdoor championship squads in 1991 and 1994.

Mueller won the NCAA Division III outdoor high jump title in 1993 and added NCAA Division III indoor titles in both the high jump and 55-meter hurdles in 1994.  She was named the 1994 USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

Mueller had a successful post-collegiate pole vault career that included qualifying for the 2000 Olympic Games, winning the 2003 Pan American Games and setting two national indoor records.

She is a member of the UW-Oshkosh, USTFCCCA and Pole Vault halls of fame.  In 2012, Mueller was named to the WIAC Women’s Track & Field All-Time Team in conjunction with the conference’s Centennial Celebration.
Mueller earned a bachelor’s degree in education and resides in Milton, Ga.
