Humphreys placed fifth in the ITA small college national championships in Fort Myers, Fla.  Each of the eight ITA regional winners from across the nation face off in an eight-person bracket in this tournament with Humphreys representing the Midwest region.  She opened the tournament with a loss to the No. 1 seed Megan Tang of University of Chicago (Ill.) (representing the Central Region).  In the back-draw, she had two very impressive wins to finish in fifth place and 2-1 on the weekend.  In her second match, she beat Cristina Nunez 6-2, 6-1 of Ithaca College (N.Y.) (representing the Northeast Region).  In the fifth-place match, Humphreys beat Andrea Madrigal 6-2, 6-2 of LaVerne College (Calif.) (representing the West Region).
