Cazzola ran the fastest 800 and 1500-meter times in the NCAA Division III this season at the Mt. Sac Relays held April 19-21 in Walnut, Calif. Both races featured NCAA Division I and professional runners. In the 800-meter run, Cazzola clocked a time of 2:07.77 to place 13th. Panama’s Andrea Ferris won the race of 14 participants in 2:03.55. Cazzola finished 14th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:18.22. That’s the fastest time in Division III by more than seven seconds. Brenda Martinez of New Balance posted a winning time of 4:04.86 to defeat 14 other runners.
