Klitz won a pair of jumping events to help the Titans to a first-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Open held April 7. Klitz took first place in the high jump with a leap of 6-6 3/4. He defeated four other opponents, including Patrick Spalding of Michigan Tech University who finished second with a height of 5-10 3/4. In the triple jump, Klitz recorded a winning distance of 49-5. His effort defeated eight other competitors, including Jevon Maddox of Michigan Tech who placed second with a mark of 47-7. UW-Oshkosh won the five-team meet with 267.5 points. Michigan Tech finished second with 120 points and Ripon College (Wis.) third with 95.5.
