Opsahl turned in Gustavus' top performance of the season in a third-place finish at the John Zuerlein Invitational on Jan. 25. She recorded the squad's first individual event win of the year, taking the balance-beam competition after scoring a season-best 9.450. Opsahl’s beam routine was her best performance since a 9.475 on Feb. 3, 2012 at the Gershon/McLellan Invitational. Along with her first place mark, she also placed fourth on the floor exercise with a score of 9.200.
