Jenny Maruyama, Junior (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) & Abby Tresedder, Freshman (Kingsford, Mich.), of UW-La Crosse
Maruyama and Tresedder earned a pair of victories on Oct. 2. The duo defeated Laura Michel and Maria Slusarek of St. Norbert College (Wis.) at No. 2 doubles (8-5) and Lauren Piotrowski and Whitney Tornow of UW-Oshkosh at No. 2 doubles (9-8). It was the first loss of the season for Piotrowski/Tornow. Maruyama and Tresedder, now 5-1 on the season, helped lead UW-La Crosse to a pair of 9-0 victories over St. Norbert and UW-Oshkosh.
