Olszewski helped the Blugolds remain unbeaten on the season (7-0-1) as he scored three of the Blugolds’ eight goals against No. 3-ranked St. Norbert College (Wis.).  In a 5-3 win for UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 16, Olszewski got the Blugolds on the board in the second period at 1:41 to bring the Blugolds within one goal.  The Blugolds then scored two more to take a 3-2 lead and never trailed the rest of the night.  In a 3-3 overtime tie on Nov. 17, Olszewski again scored the Blugolds’ first goal of the night at 9:51 in the first period to tie the score and then scored again at 6:59 in the second to tie the game at 2-2.  Picking up three points during the weekend, the Blugolds are now in first place in the NCHA with a 5-0-1 record.  This is the first time since 1982 the Blugolds haven’t lost a game through their first eight to start the year, and it was the first time since 1995 St. Norbert didn’t win at least one game of a weekend series against UW-Eau Claire.
