Katie Gillman, Junior (Red Wing, Minn.) & Taylor Heltne, Senior (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley), of UW-Eau Claire
At the Warhawk Invitational on Sept. 1, Gillman and Heltne won the No. 1 double draw. They opened the day with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Miranda Pence and Chelsea Lavin of Augustana College (Ill.) and followed with a 6-7 (4), 6-1, 10-6 win over Megan Kasten and Jackie Vitale of UW-Whitewater. In the championship match, the pair went on to defeat Olivia Hartwick and Bryanne Blanton of UW-La Crosse 7-5, 6-0.
