Cazzola defeated all but one of her 499 individual competitors as UW-Oshkosh finished seventh at the Brooks Invitational held Oct. 13. Cazzola traveled the 6,000-meter rain-soaked course in a second-place time of 21:32. Alison Steinbrunner of Ohio Northern University won the race with a time of 21:24, while Lucy Cheadle of Washington University (Mo.) finished third in 21:35. UW-Oshkosh hosted the meet and finished seventh in the team standings with 277 points. Calvin College (Mich.) took the team title with 91 points, while the University of Chicago (Ill.) ranked second with 114, UW-Eau Claire third with 115, Hope College (Mich.) fourth with 172 and Illinois Wesleyan University fifth with 222.
