Cazzola finished second among 120 runners at the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational held Sept. 28 in South Bend, Ind. She completed the 5,000-meter race in a career-best time of 17:11. She previously finished fourth at the meet in 2010 and seventh last year. Agnes Kemboi of Texas Christian University took first place with a time of 16:53, while Victoria Voronko of Eastern Michigan University finished third in 17:32 and Ashley Eckhoff of Texas Christian University fourth in 17:46. UW-Oshkosh placed 11th in the 15-team meet with 252 points. Texas Christian captured the team title with 62 points, while the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) finished second with 86, Calvin College (Mich.) third with 130, Eastern Michigan University fourth with 134 and the University of Texas at Arlington fifth with 168.
