Bomgren helped lead the Blugolds to a 3-1 record as they opened the season with the UW-Eau Claire Labor Day Classic. She finished with 58 kills in four matches to lead the team and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the event. Bomgren also had 40 digs, third most on the team, and seven blocks, fourth most on the team, as she competed in 14 out of 15 sets over the course of the weekend. In the Blugolds’ match against Concordia University-Moorhead (Minn.) on Aug. 31, Bomgren finished with a match-high 24 kills, just five short of a school record.
