Strupp took first place in both the discus and shot put and third in the hammer throw at the UW-Oshkosh Open held March 31. She won the discus with a measurement of 152-7. Her effort, which established the best mark in the NCAA Division III this season, defeated 12 other participants. UW-Oshkosh teammate Abby Martin finished second in the event with a mark of 122-7. In the shot put, Strupp posted a winning distance of 44-7 1/2. Her performance, the second best in the country this season, defeated 11 other contestants. UW-Oshkosh’s Alexia Child placed second with a mark of 44-5 1/4. Strupp placed third in the hammer throw with a cast of 166-9. Child won the event with a distance of 182-6, while UW-Oshkosh’s Samantha Loew finished second with a mark of 176-3. UW-Oshkosh captured the team title with 237 points. Northern Michigan University ranked second with 235 points, Lawrence University third with 53 and UW-Stevens Point fourth with 16.
