Lewis continues her pursuit of WIAC and NCAA honors in the triple jump. On Feb. 16 at the Bemidji State University (Minn.) Twilight, Lewis had a leap of 11.66 meters (38-3 1/4), obliterating her previous best and putting her atop the WIAC Honor Roll. After the weekend, her mark was good for eighth in the nation. At the Northern Challenge on Feb. 18, Lewis placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.41. Lewis also ran the anchor leg of the 4-by-400-meter relay team, coming from behind on her leg to win the race, edging the hosts by 1/100 of a second.
