Child established personal bests with her first-place performance in the 20-pound weight throw and third-place effort in the shot put at the UW-Whitewater Quadrangular held Feb. 10. She defeated 15 other contestants in the 20-pound weight throw with her distance of 59-3 1/2. UW-Oshkosh’s Samantha Low finished second to Child with a measurement of 55-3 3/4. In the shot put, Child placed third with a mark of 42-4 3/4. UW-Oshkosh’s Breanna Strupp won the event with a toss of 45-6 1/4. UW-Oshkosh won the four-team meet with 210 points, while UW-Whitewater finished second with 145 points, UW-La Crosse third with 121 and UW-Stevens Point fourth with 104.
