Strupp won the shot put and placed second in the 20-pound weight throw as UW-Oshkosh beat Lawrence University and Ripon College on Jan. 27 in Oshkosh. Strupp took first place among four contestants in the shot put with a distance of 47-8. Her mark, which leads the NCAA Division III by nearly 18 inches, established a personal best. UW-Oshkosh’s Abby Martin placed second in the event with a mark of 44-8. Strupp placed second in the 20-pound weight throw with a measurement of 54-6 3/4. UW-Oshkosh’s Samantha Loew won the event with a cast of 54-6 3/4. The Titans finished first in 12 events and won the UW-Oshkosh Open with 90 points. Ripon placed second with 35 points and Lawrence third with 18.
