In the Piper Invitational hosted by Hamline University (Minn.) on Jan. 8, Thompson won the all-around title with a 36.85, while taking second place on the floor exercise with a 9.45, second place on the uneven bars with a 9.325, third place on vault with a 9.275, and a fifth place on balance beam with an 8.75. Also member of team (five scores) that scored 46.80 on the floor exercise, 13th best in the UW-Whitewater record book, and member of uneven bars unit that totaled 44.625, 26th best in UW-Whitewater record book.
