Wunnicke defeated No. 2-ranked Adam Sheley of UW-La Crosse, 7-6 in a dual meet. At the 2011 Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational on Dec. 3, he pinned four opponents in the first period en route to the title at 133 pounds. With the four pins, he was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
